 FIRST YEAR FRESHMEN:

  • The first billing statement for the summer 2019 semester for freshmen students will be issued the first week of June, with a due date of June 22, 2019. The student and any Authorized Payer on the account will receive an email when the statement is ready to view and pay.
  • Students/Authorized Payers may see charges on the student account beginning in May, but the charges won’t be billed until the first week of June.
  • Penn State offers a three (3) month Installment Payment Plan in the summer semester. Enrollment in the Installment Payment Plan must be completed online through the student account by May 22, 2019, using either an eCheck or credit card. The first installment payment, and a $45 non-refundable fee is due at the time of enrollment. Auto-pay deduction for the remaining installments must be also set up at the time of enrollment.
  • The student or his/her Authorized Payer can enroll in the summer Installment Payment Plan without having received a billing statement to benefit from the three installment payments. If this action is taken, the student will not receive a billing statement for the summer 2019 semester.
  • Changes in a student schedule and/or adjustments to financial aid may impact the amount of the remaining installment payments due.
  • Enrolling in the Installment Payment Plan after May 22, 2019 will require payment of 2/3 of the balance due. For more information on the Installment Payment Plan, click here.
  • Students who drop below full-time or drop below their originally registered credit level may not receive a tuition refund.
  • If paying with a 529 Plan, please follow all instructions provided by your College Savings Plan to ensure funds arrive in a timely manner to Penn State.
  • Important reminders for new students:
    • Grant Authorized Payer Access to a parent/third party to view and pay the student account. Bursar representatives can only communicate specifics on a student account with the student and with the Authorized Payer(s) designated as such by the student in our system.
    • Log in to your student account and enroll in eRefund. This is the fastest and safest way to receive any refunds due to you. The eRefund option is only available to students. Parent PLUS refunds are issued via a paper check.

RECURRENT STUDENTS:

  • The first billing statement for the summer 2019 semester for recurring students is scheduled for May 1, 2019, with a due date of May 22, 2019. The student and any Authorized Payer on the account will receive an email when the statement is ready to view and pay.
