Important Reminder from Penn State’s Office of Information Security (OIS)
Students who have not enrolled in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), the University’s identity-verification system that protects accounts from cyberattacks, are encouraged to do so immediately for safe, secure access to Penn State sites and services.
The effects of account compromise can be particularly harmful for students. Attackers who gain access to student accounts could drop classes, alter enrollment and tuition, and attempt to acquire important financial information.
For more details, please read Penn State News Article published on April 7, 2020 reminding students to enroll in 2FA
More information about 2FA, including answers to frequently asked questions, can be found at Get2FA.psu.edu.
Sincerely,
Office of the Bursar
