How does the third-party sponsorship affect my student account?

Once Penn State receives the financial guarantee/voucher/letter of credit/billing authorization, a conditional credit is applied to your student account.  This credit allows you to register for class and avoid late fees while the university waits for payment from the sponsor.  If Penn State has not received payment from the sponsor within 30 days of sending the semester invoice, a Bursar Sponsor Non-Payment (BSN) service indicator will be placed on the student account, which notifies the student that Penn State has not received payment from the student’s sponsor.  If the sponsor fails to pay, by the end of the semester, the credit is removed, and the student becomes responsible for the charges.
